Former director of Central Documents Translation Center (CDTC) of Central Compilation and Translation Bureau(CCTB) of CCP Central Committee and senior research fellow.
He received the PHD degree from Beijing University with major in Comparative Politics. He was a visiting fellow in Kennedy School of Government, Harvard (2001-2002), Public Affairs Center, Banglore (2009), Tubingen University, Germany (2010), Vienna University (2013).
His research interests include: Local Politics and Governance in China; Globalization and Political Development, Political Discourse Analysis. He is conducting a program of Political Development Indices and their Comparison.
