Ms. Jennifer Haskell came to the Department of Political Science as a Fulbright junior visiting scholar

On Feb. 22, 2013, Ms. Jennifer Haskell, PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science, Stanford University, came to the Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, as a Fulbright junior visiting scholar, and will be based here for the next half a year. 

Ms. Jennifer Haskell previously obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science from Stanford University, and is now working on her PhD. Her areas of research are the political economy of development and the provision of public goods, and she is now writing her doctoral dissertation on education equality in China. The major aim of her visiting in China is to conduct her fieldwork for her dissertation. In so doing, she will also collaborate with the Tsinghua Center of Higher Education Research.

Ms. Jennifer Haskell is awarded the Fulbright Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad Fellowship in the US. This is a highly competitive fellowship, which is not only a great honor in itself, but also a precious research fund.
